Using a market mainstream 2-megapixel imaging sensor, Qihan has enhanced its existing IP camera line with the second-generation cube network camera.  The 2nd-Gen Cube network camera has a built-in passive infrared detector (PIR) with a detection angle of 80-degrees for an effective coverage of up to 10 metres.

The network camera will work as an intelligent video sensor at the front. When it detects that there are changes in the video, or it is lost, or the perspective transformed, the cube network camera will automatically send out a video fraction (based on the settings) with alarm signals to the central station or the authorised recipient(s). The system is designed to recognise a wide number of potential natural disaster patterns that may arise, allowing the cube network camera to intelligently detect and to analyse conditions such as earthquakes, avalanches, landslides,..etc. If patterns are detected that meet the scenario patterns, the camera will send out alarm signals and activate event recording with videos of pre- and post-alarms. Further, the intelligence of the cube network camera is also designed to make intelligent analysis on the received video contents.  All these intelligent detection and analysis features will provide authorised persons with the information to react timely with an appropriate response. 

Extending the features of the 1st-Gen cube network camera, the latest model also has a 2-way audio function embedded. The 2nd-Gen cube network camera now incorporates electromagnetic speakers that allows the user to output music through the camera.

It also allows for viewers to log in from remote sites via mobile devices or desktop PCs.  The Qihan viewer software features a secured log-in protection, which not only gives the user access to real-time information but also secures user privacy. 
 
To maximize the convenience of mobile video surveillance, Qihan has successfully developed the ISS mobile management system software.  Those who use mobile devices, including Iphone, Ipad, and Android systems, will be able to install the ISS management software then set a link to any existing Qihan products.  Utlising H.264 video codec and G711 & ADPCM audio codec technologies, the ISS management software is well able to manage system devices, facilitate audio/video browsing, control PTZ, playback videos locally or remotely, activate alarm notifications, perform as an intercom system and to carry out functional settings.  The software allows the use of up to 16 screens to display video and sound; this application also allows the alarm switch to be set.  The external voice intercom can be attached to the system to add a further operation.

Users can also log in and browse the live video through one or multiple mobile devices via Wifi, 3G, or 4G telecommunication channels.
