The Provideo's PV-973 is a miniature PCI type-IIIV complied A/Vcapture card that includes four high quality NTSC/PAL video decoders to convert analogue composite video into digital data, and an audio codec for four audio analogue-to-digital conversion.
The inbuilt H.264 hardware-compressed encoder is designed to encode the data streams to ensure storage space is saved for the full extent of the recording duration. If in CIF format, 4 channels of video in H.264 will be reproduced at 120fps. If in D1 format, H.264 resolution, then the PV-973 supports one channel upto 30fps.
The PV-973 also supports watch-dog and 8ch GOIO features. With these particular functions offered, the mini PCI capture card is able to help the developer to build their system on O/S of Linux or WIN XP/Vista/Win7 (DirecShow Interface) drivers.
