Prestige art museum enhances surveillance

Singen, Germany

Art exhibits in the Kunstmuseum watched over by Geutebruck

Geutebruck technology is now protecting the Kunstmuseum in Singen near lake Constance in Germany, following an extensive renovation project that included the enhancement of the surveillance system.

Renowned cultural institutions throughout the world are secured with Geutebruck surveillance technology; from the Amber Room in Russia to the Louvre in Paris to Berlin's Museum Island.

The Kunstmuseum in Singen is the latest of these prestige premises to secure their premises and works of art with the company's latest surveillance equipment. With around 1,000 m² of visitor and exhibition space, it is one of the largest municipal art museums on the German side of Lake Constance. Centrally located within the city, its rotating exhibitions attract visitors from the four-country region. In 2014 it was completely renovated and expanded. In addition to the new foyer with a cafeteria and museum shop, it has spacious and expansive exhibition rooms.

The security concept was also modernised during the course of the renovation project. The new Geutebruck video system was put into operation at the reopening, and serves to protect the art exhibition. It extends over 2 floors and includes a flexible, dynamic design: The exhibits change up to five times per year, and the exhibition space is changed using movable partitions. For this reason, all cameras are attached to cable trays using magnets. The cameras can simply follow the course of the exhibit, flexibly adapting to the new lines of sight. Wherever they are set up: All images are made available to the museum guards centrally, providing an attractive solution for all concerned.
