With the advent of security threats caused by Mifare cloning, more secure encryption is becoming a point of focus for the security industry. Mifare Desfire EV1 is a new evolution of the Desfire card, broadly backwards compatible to DES, Triple-DES & AES, with more hardware and software security features than the standard Mifare classic chips. Civintec Global has developed a new reader module series to read and write Mifare Desfire EV1 & Mifare Plus on both a hardware and software level to meet the real integration of the Desfire technique. According to Civintec's core committment, the new EV1/Mifare reader module, CV3XX0A-3-A0 series, is the most cost-efficient solution to migrate the users' access devices with high security contactless Desfire functions. It is available with a source code and a development kit is offered that allows user-defined function development to enhance the user's system expansion for the future.

The benefit of the latest reader module is its compact size and comprehensive interface to ease system integration. As it is miniature in size, the compact PCB layout has accommodated a multi-interface on one board (USB port, IC, SPI, RS232-TTL, Clock & Data / ABA1,2 / Wiegand26~56 as optional). Thanks to this, the CV3XX0A-3-A0 series reader modules can be integrated into different devices, especially for small portable devices, used for such applications as e-payment, personal identification, driving license reader, casino/slot machines and access control systems.

The CV3XX0A-3-A0 will be officially displayed on the Civintec stand at the coming trade shows including Cards Asia 2011 in Singapore, and IFSEC 2011 in Birmingham.
