This recognises Planets outstanding commitment in CSR in all aspects including Corporate Governance, Corporate Commitment, Social Participation and Environmental Protection. Planet has received this award annually since 2007. In fact, they were ranked No. 1 most recently for two years under the category of Medium-sized Enterprises, selected from among nearly 2,000 publicly listed companies in Taiwan.

Planet has devoted its activities to business growth by product innovation and global branding as well as continued its effort in CSR.

Planet has also made great commitments in corporate integrity. They established the Risk Management Committee and Salary/Compensation Committee in 2011 which has been receiving the "A" class ranking in the "Information Transparency and Disclosure Ranking System" field since 2009. Throughout years of dedication in improving corporate governance, Planet has passed the "Corporate Governance System Evaluation Certification" for the third consecutive time in 2012.

As the company aims to provide a friendly and happy working environment, it has initiated various programmes and activities including a cloud-based e-learning platform, education allowance for employee’s children, employee health care plan, and innovation incentive programmes. The company also encourages employees to participate in social services and supports work-life balance. Through such efforts, Planet develops a 'social-loving' corporate culture that values CSR.

Not just content with winning for the company and their colleagues, Planet has also devoted its activities to Educational Programmes for Disadvantaged Children, with an institutionalised "Standard of Procedure" for evaluating the effectiveness of the programme. It also plays a role of integrating different resources to maximize the positive impacts for the students, the school and the families. This is to ensure that disadvantaged children are not isolated and receive proper education such that they will be able to contribute to society when they grow up. In addition, Planet has started an “Angel of the Night” programme that provides after-school care for urban aboriginal students this year. Our employees enthusiastically volunteered to offer aboriginal students care during out-of-work hours, putting social services into practice.

Planet is dedicated to developing environmentally friendly products catering to the green technology trend. On the other hand, it motivates employees to keep in mind environmental protection in daily life. Furthermore, it subsidises organic tea farms to protect water sources, participates in International Coastal Cleanups to protect the marine environment, and assists in trash sorting for better recycling and waste prevention.

The "Excellence in CSR Award" is organised by the Common Wealth Magazine; it is one of the most comprehensive indexes on CSR. It is benchmarked to international standards including the UN Global Compact, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes. This award is not only evidence of Planets outstanding dedication to CSR but it also makes Planet a role model in serving society today.
