Paxton Access releases keycard for Net2Air

Brighton, UK

Paxton Access Limited launches its new keycard for Net2Air, its hands free access control solution that offers a maximum range of up to 50m.

The new triple-function Net2Air keycard operates as a normal Net2 token, as a normal Net2Air hands free token on Net2Air-equipped doors and, by operating the keycard buttons, as a long range Net2Air access card. The keycard's two buttons can be programmed to operate two different access points, such as 'in' and 'out' car park barriers. Pressing a button momentarily boosts the range of the keycard from a maximum range of 2.5m (like a hands free keyfob) to a maximum range of up to 50m.

"The versatility of Net2Air is one of its most appealing features", says Adam Stroud, Paxton Access' sales and marketing Director. "The long range keycard is the ultimate in convenience for car parks and barriers, whilst the hands free functionality is ideal for stores areas or for people with disabilities. That you can introduce Net2Air alongside your existing Net2 tokens makes implementation swift and cost effective."

To fit Net2Air to an existing Net2 installation simply requires the fitting of the Net2AIR hands free interface between the Net2 control unit and the reader. With this addition, any Proximity P series reader can become 'hands free' including Paxton Access' small 38mm PROXIMITY P38 reader. Standard Proximity tokens may also still be presented to the reader to unlock the door. Net2AIR keyfobs have a battery life of around five years when in average daily use. The Net2Air keycard is available for both Paxton Access' Net2 PC-based system and its Switch2 standalone system.

Net2AIR is available from all leading UK distributors and through its international sales and distribution network.
