Pacom enhances GMS system

Sydney, Australia

Pacom Systems has just released the company's new GMS (Graphical Management System) Version 4.10 to the market.

The Pacom GMS system is a Security Management Platform for multi-site customers offering complete integration with access control, intrusion detection, video systems and intercom. GMS delivers a visually powerful management solution that provides the opportunity for centrally managing all facilities within an organisation – making it suitable for banking institutions, utility providers, telecommunications, multi-site retail, school districts and virtually any other multi-site corporation.

GMS 4.10 builds upon the already solid foundation and reputation forged by Pacom products since 1983, by delivering a range of new and advanced features that allow customers to take control of their security system and reap the benefits of a well-integrated platform.

GMS 4.10 now supports enhanced web based reporting using the advanced Pacom Security Portal. The Security Portal has been designed to keep executives and security managers on top of the vast amounts of information pouring into their security system daily.

The Security Portal includes an interactive dashboard which provides a visual snapshot of how the security system has been performing. It includes charts, graphs, maps, gauges and tables so users can easily make sense of complex data at a glance. The Security Portal also provides a complete reporting tool that allows you to drill down and create reports that represents the security information you need most, when you need it.

Security Portal is now even easier to install and operate with GMS, providing a complete and feature rich set of security management data. Combine this with the ability to generate custom reports using Microsoft’s SQL Report Builder and the power of the GMS reporting now has no boundaries.

Biometrics authentication has quickly become a popular solution for identification at highly secure locations. Pacom GMS 4.10 introduces a high level integration with the Stanley Black & Decker Eyeswipe solutions to provide optimal security and ease of authentication using a single, integrated solution. GMS 4.10 provides intuitive enrolment, complete iris map management, access assignment, identification at the door and reporting of all transactions in the live log - all in a single integrated system - GMS.

An Eyelock biometric access solution adds an additional layer of protective security that goes well beyond that of the standard RFID card technology used at most doors today. Cardholders attempting to gain access at a secure door must identify themselves through their iris pattern which provides a unique, stable pattern that cannot be stolen or transferred, but is still non-contact, safe and unobtrusive.

Elevator systems have become substantially more sophisticated in design. These systems have been engineered so that elevator travel is more efficient, elevator usage is optimized and a reduced number of elevator cars are required in larger buildings.

These new systems direct a cardholder to a particular elevator using a touchscreen device, usually located in the lobby, rather than the user simply selecting the next available car.

GMS 4.10 now integrates seamlessly with the Kone Polaris and Otis Compass elevator systems to provide customers with support for the latest technology. This allows full access control for each and every cardholder, support for default floors with turnstiles, general access to public floors, override for special circumstances and many other advanced elevator integration functions.

GMS enhances security operations with a number of other new features and functions, by providing customers with a host of new video management integrations which broaden the compatibility and interoperability of GMS as a completely integrated security system, including support for March Networks, HIKVision, Taiwan Video Systems (TVS), DVTel, Axis Communications, Samsung and Panasonic.

GMS 4.10 also delivers cardholder change auditing (ability to track and report changes to a cardholders record), integration with the TOA intercom system, an SMS message service, support for the Baussa Spider Series IP locks, improved Contact ID and SIA messaging and many other new features and enhancements to ensure the best possible security management.
