Object counting with Airlive IVS IP camera

Taipei, Taiwan

Airlive, a fast-growing brand in IP surveillance, is introducing its new cameras with an IVS Object Counting function - the MD-3025-IVS and BU-3026-IVS .
An intelligent video surveillance (IVS) system ecompasses Object Counting, which provides advanced, accurate video analytics that can be used to count objects such as: cars, pedestrians, or any target you may define for the IVS IP cameras.  The level of object counting is able to trigger an alarm output or various other notifications, and also will be stored in the database for further search and analysis. With the data collected from the Object Counting function, enterprises are able to analyse and plan their business by observation of the customer flow at the entrances, or by particular events, and particular sections of a store.

IVS is an excellent solution for use in business and public places such as: special events, shopping malls, department stores, stadiums, parking lots, factories, stations, highways, and roads.

The fundamental idea used in Object Counting is that the objects being counted are passing through a boundary or zone. The zone is not necessarily a physical zone but rather a logical or virtual zone.  The zone, in the case of people, may be a door entrance, a hallway or a corridor. In the case of cars, the zone may be a junction, an arbitrary point along the highway or a gate entrance to a parking lot.

The primary consideration for choosing the location and position of cameras used for counting is that the camera should see the object being counted in full.
