Due to high quality and more than 20 years goodwill, Ippudo Japanese Ramen has become popular in metropolitan cities worldwide. In order to continue to associate the brand with good service and a quality environment, Ippudo Taiwan wanted to control their internal activity and raise customer satisfaction. In preparing for the tender, Kanpai submitted their main objectives for the project.  Firstly, to gather infomation from video, with live viewing from a surveillance system to supervise employee's activities and guest feedback by shop manager(s);  Secondly, to assist management on the move - the surveillance system needed to be remotely accessible via IOS/Android devices; In addtion, the system needed to be flexibily expandable, plus it needed to have a central management centre at the company HQ; And finally the system had to support message or emails with image(s) during an alarm, alert, or other urgent conditions.

In accordance with this list of objectives, Ciean Po, one of the distributors of Zavio in Taiwan, proposed a system using the Zavio bullet network cameras working along side the Nuuo NVR and CMS software. There are a total 5 units of F531E bullet IP cameras and 2 units of B5111 bullet IP cameras installed.

The Zavio F531E models were installed on top of the cashier points and other indoor corners of one Ippudo ramen shop.  The F531E is equipped with a microphone with two-way audio function.  As it is configured as a POS system, the transactions at the cash desk can trigger the surveillance system to act or record.  The Zavio B5111 cameras were mounted up on the back door for outdoor surveillance. The B5111 is an IP67 rated weather proof IP camera. It also has an effective radiation range of up to 15m, via IR LEDs when activated, the IR illumination enhances the B5111 bullet network camera's ability to reproduce quality images during both day and night time conditions.

In working with the Nuuo 16-ch standalone NVR (NE-4080) and its CMS software, the system allows shop manager(s) to check current status and live view for local and remote sites. When sensors detect, and an alarm or alert condition is raised, the system is set to automatically send a message to notify authorised managers or personnel.

According to the company, the managers of Ippudo Taiwan have expressed their satisfaction, as the system allows them to supervise the kitchen, the entire environment and other activities to ensure the contined quality of service of a shop.
