News from Legic at Ifsec

Wetzikon (Switzerland)

LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the leading manufacturer of contactless smart card systems for personal identification applications presents its world-wide unique solution for ultimate security control in companies at IFSEC 2006 in Birmingham, 8th - 11th May. A new transponder chip expands the successful LEGIC advant product line and many new all-in-one-card partner products will be demonstrated live. LEGIC's stand is located in Hall 20, Stand J82.

LEGIC is presenting its world-wide unique solution for ultimate control of corporate security at this year's IFSEC. Most access control, time & attendance, e-payment systems and biometric applications rely on card technologies based on passwords. Passwords are typically used in cards and readers to protect information from unauthorized use or change.
However passwords are easily compromised and can go everywhere, anytime, undiscovered. With the powerful LEGIC Master-Token System Control (MTSC) no passwords are needed. The LEGIC Master-Token is a special physical, contactless smart card that contains a unique genetic code. This genetic code securely links cards and readers, thereby guaranteeing total control and ownership of security systems. LEGIC Master-Token System Control ensures total control through cards and security systems in companies and is another milestone in the LEGIC success story. Stephen Neff, Vice President Sales & Business Development of LEGIC explains: "LEGIC's Master-Token based security control demonstrates our leading position in highly secure contactless smart card technology. Over 50,000 installations worldwide in well-known companies in every sector of industry are proof of the excellent reliability of the LEGIC technology."
LEGIC is also launching a new cost-effective crypto transponder at IFSEC 2006 in the shape of its new ATC128-MV210 transponder chip, thereby extending LEGIC's comprehensive range of highly secure LEGIC advant transponders. Strong demand for a transponder with a lower storage capacity for 1-3 applications on one card encouraged LEGIC's efforts to develop this new chip. The new chip has 128 bytes of memory and is fully compatible with the international ISO 15693 Standard. Typical applications include leisure applications (event ticketing, leisure passes) or simple access control. "We are convinced that the new transponder chip meets the needs of many market segments and are looking forward to including another ISO-based product that boasts the usual LEGIC security into our broad product range," says Stephen Neff, Vice President Sales & Business Development of LEGIC Identsystems Ltd.

LEGIC will also be showing latest developments in contactless LEGIC all-in-one-card applications at IFSEC 2006. LEGIC's flexible technology platform allows to easily integrate a wide range of LEGIC all-in-one-card applications for access control, time & attendance systems, parking, cashless payment in canteens or for vending machines, IT access and e-ticketing right through to high-security biometric applications with one single identification credential. An extensive selection of over 30 of our partners' LEGIC all-in-one-card applications will be demonstrated live.
