New Vista NVR mimics a DVR

Reading, Berkshire (UK)

Vista is launching the new Quantum NVR, a simple to use NVR with the look and feel of a DVR, and providing full HD 1080p recording with up to 12TB of internal storage. Auto discovery and IP address setting of VK2 cameras makes the unit extremely quick and simple to set up.
The NVR is fully compatible with all Vista VK2 cameras and comes with free of charge QCMS software that can communicate with any QNVR or H.264 Quantum DVR – an ideal solution for providing hybrid systems. The unit can also be controlled via the current VKBD4 joystick keyboard for remote operation and fluid dome control.

Designed specifically to look and feel like a standard Quantum DVR, the Quantum NVR helps installers and end users simplify the switch from analogue to IP. Easy to both install and operate, it is particularly relevant for estates currently using Quantum DVRs that want to move to an IP based system.

Key Features include full HD recording for excellent quality 1080p images and simplified migration of existing analogue systems to IP. The new Quantum NVR is capable of seamless stream switching and auto discovery and IP address setting for VK2 cameras, plus it operates like the company's Quantum DVR.

Mark Pritchard, Divisional Director – Vista, comments: “The aim of the Quantum NVR was to simplify the transition from analogue to IP at every level. The Quantum DVR is extremely popular in the marketplace and its operating system is something of a standard. The new NVR mimics this system, reducing training requirements, easing the way into IP for many of our customers.”
