The Bus transport system in Mumbai has a fleet of 3400 buses and ferries over 4.7 million passengers a day. It is the lifeline of the city of Mumbai.
Considering the recent terror attacks on the city of Mumbai, the "BEST Corporation", which operates this bus transport system, has decided to install these systems at the earliest to convey a message to the passengers that they can travel safe and also to warn the terrorists and anti social elements that they will be under constant supervision.
The SAY MDVR was chosen not only for it's superior video surveillance capabilities but also because the systems are designed to display advertising and passenger informational video while at the same time being a highly effective surveillance system. This type of hybrid technology allows the system to pay for itself and generate additional revenue.
The software incorporated into the SAY mobile digital video recording system can monitor and record 4 or 8 cameras simultaneously whilst displaying a DVD movie or Advertising or playing a music clip or any combination of the three on the secondary output of the unit.
The SAY mobile system includes an embedded MPEG 4 DVR with optional wireless capabilities such as WIFI, GPRS, CDMA, EDGE network options, GPS tracking and location verification application that can be monitored "LIVE" from any remote location.
The SAY MDVR can be fitted with 3 point inertia sensors which can monitor the manner in which the vehicle is being driven and record any sudden turns or braking or other vehicle statics. The speed, right/left turn, brake applied etc can also be recorded. The recorded information can then be used for driver training.
