New rugged 2MP IR network camera from Hunt

Taipei, Taiwan

Hunt Electronic, one of the leading surveillance solution system manufacturers, is launching its latest series of 2 megapixel weatherproof IP cameras with IR built-in.

The latest HLC-79GD is designed with the Sony Exmor CMOS sensor, providing high resolution in 60 frames per second and quick response to moving objects.  The 2 megapixel network camera has a built in intelligent sensor with face detection which can determine the location vs human face size in arbitrary images.

Without the usually associated additional costs, the HLC-79GD  includes the digital imaging stablisation feature.  This is used to reduce blurring associated with the motion of a camera during exposure.  When a vibration is detected during exposure, the CMOS sensor assigns a 5% marginal area to compensate the vibration and thus assures the clarity of any image captured.

The T-WDR (true wide dynamic range) technique allows the HLC-79GD network camera able to deal with high-contrast scenes and avoid the dark zones that result from over or under exposure.  The T-WDR supports upto 120dB and, according to Hunt,  can offer more detail than many competitive models with typical digital WDR (wide dynamic range) technology. The HLC-79GD offers additional functions, such as 2D and 3D noise reduction, tamper detection, and video adjustment.

In terms of transmission, the HLC-79GD supports triple streaming in H.264 ande M-JPEG compression formats.  It allows the user to set 3 zones of privacy masking for privacy protection. With password protection, the HLC-79GD allows 10 simultaneous connections from remote sites at the same time and it supports viewers with devices with IOS 4.3 and above and Android 1.6 and above for monitoring on the go.

The company will be exhibiting at the forthcoming Security Essen 2014 in Germany, where visitors will be able to see this new development with demonstrations on the Hunt stand.
