New Privendo software from Vidicore

The new marketing software, Privendo, made by Vidicore GmbH has been designed as an effective tool to analyse customer behaviour, improve safety and therefore help retail store owners to optimise their businesses.

Using Privendo, the number of customers present in different areas at different times can be identified. It is also able to detect how long customers dwell in a store, in a specific department or in front of a specific product. Furthermore, it can differentiate between interest and engagement in products. The user has the option to choose the definition of interest and engagement to suit his needs. For example 5-8 seconds in front of a product might imply that the customer is interested, and more than 8 seconds could imply that the customer is further engaged in a product.

The collected data can be shown in real time through different display formats such as diagrams, graphs or tables. Moreover, heat maps and hot spots are able to show at a glance which parts of a store are most frequented and most ignored by customers.

In addition to analysing collected data from one store, it is also possible to further compare data from different branches. Based on the results store managers can implement optimisation measurements immediately tailored for each branch depending upon performance. For example staff planning can be improved and queues can be managed by matching numbers of customers with numbers of staff and open cash points. Furthermore, the store layout and the placement of products can be changed to improve customer walking routes, to monitor marketing campaigns for evaluation to help plan future marketing activities, and to better design shop window displays. Thus, the return on investment is improved significantly just within a few weeks.

Privendo has been designed so that it can be easily integrated into existing security systems. Therefore, Privendo visual sensors can be used for marketing as well as security purposes. In terms of security, Privendo not only analyses customer behaviour but also streams video to detect burglary, shoplifting or vandalism.

Privendo software applies to many different vertical markets, not only retail, and it can be used indoors as well as outdoors.  Application areas are not limited. Application areas are not limited. The software can be used where ever people counting or dwell time analytics is needed. For example counting people at train stations, airports, public places or on buses as well as analysing how people react to billboards on streets, which is one of the projects currently on line and already using the Privendo software.
