New Idesco reader with GPRS connection

Oulu, Finland

Idesco's latest reader, Access 9 CD 2.0 G, sports the convenient and economical GPRS portal for administering ID transactions.
As a robustly reliable portal, GPRS is a perfect cost-effective solution for sites unable to accommodate cabling. The Access 9 CD 2.0 G is easily deployed in the remotest construction sites, where no data transfer capability exists besides GPRS – the same protocol use by a GSM mobile phone. As a consequence, this reader is ideal for temporary access control settings as an identification application can be up and running without any cabling, e.g. for construction sites or remote locations without any infrastructure. It utilises an existing, reliable and above all, cost-effective GPRS connection which is available almost everywhere -practically in any location where you can use a GSM mobile phone.

The Access 9 CD 2.0 G is designed to endure the harshest environments and most inclement weather, with IP67 protection class this reader meets almost every need for a reliable reader applicable in any conditions - moisture, dust, frost and heat. . After programming and entering credentials, the user is able to control the reader’s wireless interface settings by SMS from around the world. Built for extreme toughness, this interesting new reader also comes with an enlarged LED to ensure visibility in bright daylight.

As this reader is very useful in distant locations you can also benefit from the possibility to control its wireless interface by SMS - of course with password protection. The reader is compatible with Mifare Classic or Mifare Desfire transponders.
