New CISA Esigno electronic contactless lock

Faenza, Italy

CISA a brand of Ingersoll Rand is launching the new Esigno electronic contactless lock, creating the latest addition to its security solutions for the hospitality industry.
While security and safety remain key priorities for all hoteliers, design and efficiency are becoming more and more important. eSIGNO combines superior Italian design with features such as intuitive opening (by simply holding the card up to the reader), battery power, wireless technology and a “Do not disturb” signal that advises staff when guests are present in their rooms.

“We are very excited with the launch of our new range of electronic guestroom door locks” said Peter Romanov, EMEIA Sales Leader for Hospitality. “We have over 20 years of experience in this market with products, starting from the first magnetic locks up to the top contactless technology. CISA eSIGNO marks the next step for us in our aspiration to grow our business globally.”

The new contactless lock, that comes in 4 different finishes (polish and satin silver, polish and satin gold), is also available in the wireless version: the lock can be configured to communicate with a remote system, giving constant control over locks and making it even easier to reprogram and delete cards without requiring any wiring on the door or in the room.

“Our objective was to develop CISA Esigno from the start with modern technologies, such as near field communication (NFC), network on card (NoC) and wireless networking (Zigbee)” said Remco Veeneman, EMEIA Product Management Leader for Electronics. “Key design criteria for the new platform were several, starting with ease of installation in both new construction as well as refurbishment, to seamless systems connectivity to combine increased comfort and security for the hotel guest.”

The CISA Esigno lock combines the most innovative design with advanced security features. It has been designed to be elegant and compact, whilst meeting the specific needs of the majority of hotels, from large chains to family-run businesses.
