Nedap releases AEOS 2.4 security management platform

Nedap Security Management has released AEOS 2.4. which comes with IP video, locker management and key cabinet functionality. With this new release, Nedap continues its strategy of further enhancing the AEOS security management platform in which multiple security disciplines are combined on one single controller and one server environment.
Nedap is marketing the AEOS IP management platform as a "truly native video integration which goes technologically well beyond existing DVR and even open platform based solutions." Live and stored video images can be viewed by means of AEOS faces, part of the AEOS front end suite, while offering complete freedom of camera choice and storage media based upon industry standards. Moreover, images can be stored on an AEpu (controller) attached hard drive which significantly reduces bandwidth and network load issues.

Tens of thousands of lockers have been equipped with Nedap locker management over the last decade. This technology now becomes available in AEOS. AEOS locker management enables administrators to authorize carriers to claim any randomly available locker. It is now possible for a person to claim any free locker by presenting his access badge right at the Nedap locker lock which supports amongst others, Mifare DESfire technology. The dynamic locker functionality makes locker management more efficient and flexible and is ideal for flex work environments.

In cooperation with Deister Proxsafe, Nedap has integrated key cabinet management. Key cabinet integration means that Deister key cabinets can now be managed directly from the AEOS security management platform. With key cabinets connected to AEOS, the AEOS system user can decide who is authorized for which keys. The big advantage of this is that all essential key data are stored in the AEOS database, providing the possibility to use this information for other AEOS functionality.
