Monterrey International Airport is located in Nuevo León, Mexico, and is considered to be one of the most modern airports in North America serving up to 5 million passengers per year. This installation further strengthens the Tagmaster North America market presence in the Airport sector and in the Latin American market.

After diligently evaluating several alternative RFID solutions for taxi and shuttle management, the Airport authorities have selected the Tagmaster system because of the superior level of technology, functionality and proven reliability. Features like the frequency hopping functionality in the reader that prevents interferences with other existing radio communication devices at the airport and the ease-of use in setting up and configuring during installation has been important factors in the evaluation.

Each authorised taxi will be equipped with an ID-tag from Tagmaster providing hands-free access control and so minimizing the risk for human intervention error. In this way the solution only allows authorised taxis to conveniently access to the pick-up areas, thus ensuring travellers are transported to and from the terminals in a secure and safe manner. The result is that the end-user receives the highest level of customer service from the airport.
