Mirasys upgrades VMS

Helsinki, Finland

Mirasys Ltd. is launching the Mirasys VMS version 7.2 aimed at improving the ease of use for alarms, video content analytics, and client-side support for 360-cameras.

For example, the new Spotter client application 360-camera de-warping (image straightening) support is for cameras with an Immervision lens, and Oncam Grandeye, Pelco or Samsung 360-camera models without on-board (edge) de-warping.

The Mirasys 7.2 version’s enhanced alarm feature now permits unlimited numbers of recipients or groups, and also to set any recipients for each different alarm type individually. Also, it is easy to automatically include snapshot images of alarm-related camera footage.

Not only has VCA usage improved, but also configuration has been made easier.  It is possible to use any analogue or IP video camera for VCA, and for multiple streaming cameras on any video stream. It is also possible to mix multiple VCA types (including the ANPR+ number plate recognition) on the same server, and assign freely to the cameras.

"There are several changes which further improve VCA usage in Mirasys software. In Spotter, the Mirasys client application, the VCA counting line and zone visualisation have been improved for easy visual tracking. Also a simple user interface -level counter has been added into Spotter. This is helpful for getting a quick view of the analytics in operation, and observing the counters manually for arbitrary periods,” says Petri Bäckström, Security Product Line Director at Mirasys Ltd. "I believe that by raising the ease of VCA use to a new level inspires further the utilisation of our VCA’s many features. Also this version’s more versatile alarm management and integration capabilities for security operations strengthen further our already comprehensive VMS offering.”
