Maxxess to launch Ambit IPS workplace tracking at Ifsec

Bracknell, Berkshire (UK)

Maxxess will be presenting an extension of its market-leading range of Ambit mobile workforce monitoring apps with the launch of its first Internal Positioning System (IPS) tracking modules at Ifsec, 20-22 June 2017, Excel, London.

In addition to the Ambit IPS the company will be showcasing other innovations including additions to the award-winning Efusion security management platform plus the latest video management software from its partner on the stand, Seetec Cayuga.

Using a combination of Internal Positioning System GPS and cellular technologies, Ambit IPS apps feature highly intuitive visual mapping to pinpoint an individual’s exact location and which floor they are on.

Providing detailed accountability of people on the move, Ambit IPS can transform remote real-time management, monitoring and verification of people in transit within buildings. The apps make it extremely quick, easy and affordable to precisely track movements and locate individuals fast in a building to keep people safer, strengthen security, improve communication, optimise efficiency and control costs.

With multiple features, Ambit IPS can be seamlessly integrated with access control, surveillance and security systems to add powerful functionality and geo-fencing to existing capabilities. Utilising remote real-time visibility of people via smartphones and tablets makes it easier to validate the authorisation status of employees, visitors and contractors on site and manage their access to different parts of the building.

Ambit IPS modules also enable the user to stay connected to the entire workforce via a versatile messaging and private communication platform to support collaboration and teamwork. Key features include help, time and attendance, incident reporting, task lists, message broadcasting and wellbeing indicators.

Ambit IPS can complement an access control system by enabling users to activate readers via the app on their smartphone. Because the app activates readers on a data-to-data basis, users don't need to keep their Bluetooth switched on to use the access control, so preserving smartphone battery power.

Also joining Maxxess on the stand, Seetec will be demonstrating its Seetec Cayuga video management software, including new innovations, functions and applications in its current R10 release.

With R10, Seetec Cayuga now supports VoIP-based communication using a SIP server. Providing direct-to-camera bi-directional audio connections enables direct voice communication with no need for additional software to support the integrated microphone, line output and other built-in audio functions.

New innovations in camera and hardware integration include support for image transfer on the H.265/HEVC steaming standard. Compared to previous streaming formats, this reduces the bandwidth required by up to 50% while retaining the same level of image quality so saving network resources and disk space.

Visitors will also be able to find out how they can benefit from the latest range of Maxxess Efusion solutions. The Efusion modular security management platform has been shortlisted for the finals of this year’s PSI Premier Awards. With its versatile, open-technology software it is a popular, practical alternative to some more costly or complex conventional PSIM solutions.

Efusion gives users the freedom to integrate, customise and adapt their security systems to meet both current needs and emerging risks. Open technology software supports more than 50 off-the-shelf integrations from leading vendors, providing complete freedom to customise solutions combining surveillance, access control, fire and intruder systems with back-office processes. Crucially, integration with Maxxess Efusion also reduces complexity for installers and their customers and offers unlimited future scalability at affordable price points.
