Lilin Selcom integration in Italy

Pescara, Italy

In the city of Pescara, Italy, there exists one of the most significant CCTV system installations by Lilin Italy. A video surveillance system dedicated to monitoring both city surveillance and traffic control monitoring has been deployed in Montesilvano. Lilin, a global 33-year-old veteran camera manufacturer, is in partnership with Selcom, a leading System Integrator in Italy offering comprehensive video management software (VMS) – namely the Idefender system, which provides a user friendly and intuitive design capable of managing cameras with optimal operating experience.

Idefender VMS software delivers centralised video management which is capable of managing cameras located across multiple locations. ANPR License Plate Recognition technology can be integrated into Idefender as well.

A total of 60 Pro series IPR-438ESX3.6 network cameras were installed based on strategic points. The electronic eyes are meant to oversee the city centre and are therefore positioned at the border areas of the city of Montesilvano, Città Sant'Angelo and Pescara to monitor city traffic. Further enhancement consists of 18 cameras being installed in the waterfront tourist area to monitor nocturnal activities around the main city hotels, station and surrounding areas.

The Idefender VMS platform enables the recording of high-definition streams and smart storage of car number plate details with direct management for each individual camera. The IPR-438ESX3.6 cameras offer a high quality 3MP 15fps streaming output which allows both a direct registration on the camera board. This is thanks to a dedicated internal SD Card in each camera and a centralised registration in a dedicated server where the analytic activities are performed. The integration between Idefender VMS software and Lilin cameras enables vehicle license plate recognition and storage of all data. The system will then be cross referenced using 2 data lists (White List and Black List – provided by the local authorities).
