Lilin helps protect Euro 2012 fans

Ukraine

Teamed with Basler's 5 megapixel IP cameras and Axxonsoft's Axxon Intellect Enterprise Software, Lilin's Imegapro camera series helped with the high levels of security protection at EURO-2012's Ukrainian Venues.
The Ukrainian venues of Kiev, Kharkov, and Lviv set fan security as their primary goal for the EURO-2012 championship tournament. To make up for the UEFA’s limitations on law enforcement, organisers looked for some of the most innovative and up-to-date technologies in the security sector. Deciding network cameras running on intellectual software was the path to take, venue administrators looked to industry players Axxonsoft, Basler, and Lilin to secure the three arenas.

Data Link, the main integrator for the EURO-2012 host cities, was responsible for designing and installing the large-scale project. They chose Lilin IP surveillance products due to the ability to be remotely operated the features of 360-degree pan with digital/optical zoom from control center and sub-stations. These premium Imegapro IP cameras features have been paired along with the high-quality image and maximum zoom of Basler’s 5 megapixel IP cameras. Both brands were fitted with Axxonsoft’s Axxon Intellect, reducing the human factor and providing the ability for the software to independently assess the importance of events and respond depending on the given scenario.

Dmitry Danilchenko, Director of Data Link stated, "The project is indeed a revolutionary one for despite the rather rigid deadlines and a limited budget, the organisers of EURO-2012 managed to opt in favour of unconditional technological leaders of the security market such as Basler, Lilin and Axxonsoft. We are proud that in the course of the recent years we have created a truly state-of-the-art security system: the best hardware operated by the best software. It adds in to our optimism and faith that Ukraine will soon catch up with developed countries as it strives to develop truly safe cities and implement advanced security systems."
