License plate camera with long range infrared

Shany Electronic has recently announced their newly developed license plate camera series, MZC-EX36X, designed with built-in infrared LEDs for long distance coverage. Each of the pre-assembled infrared license plate cameras is made up of a zoom camera and a multi-functional housing creating an ideal combination for this specific application.
The MZC-EX36X infrared zoom cameras use 1/4" SONY Exview HAD CCD and SONY HQ1 DSP to achieve 540TVL in colour mode and 560TVL in B/W. This series of cameras features 36x optical zoom with auto iris, day & night function, and shutter modes. They support various shutter speed settings. The zoom function can be controlled in compliance with Pelco D or P protocol and the camera functions can be operated and configured by OSD remotely via an RS-485 interface.

The MZC-EX36X supports privacy zone mask settings to provide better protection at the installation location where there may be invasion of privacy concerns. The OSD menu is available in varioius languages, and the day/night mode can be set to automatic from an external control, or scheduled to control through the mechanical IR Cut Filter (ICR).

There is a built in a heater on the lens cap and a blower at the rear to ensure the viewing window is clear during all kinds of weather conditions. The IR LEDs are built into the control board to control the IR On/Off facility. MCZ-EX36X-IR80 is equipped with 7 IR LEDs for a distance of up to 80 meres and MCZ-EX36X-IR80 have 11 IR LEDs for up to 120 metres in distance. The camera housings are compliant to IP66 weatherproof standards and are offered with a cable management bracket for ease of installation. Both cameras are designed to capture optimum ultra clear images in harsh ambient conditions and applications.
