KAC to release AV warning devices at Ifsec

Redditch, Worcestershire (UK)

KAC is using this year's Firex on 13-16 May at the NEC in Birmingham to unveil a new range of conventional audible-visible warning devices.
The range is designed to deliver outstanding sound and light performance and meet the new EN54-23 standard for increased effectiveness of visual alarm devices (VADs). The launch follows the recent introduction of KAC intelligent AV devices which are being installed across Europe and which complete the new AV portfolio.

Visitors to the KAC Stand will also be able to see one of the widest choice of call points from any manufacturer. The core range of MCP and WCP intelligent and conventional call points includes variants for specialist applications such as hazardous areas, marine environments, smoke vent systems, mains voltage and high humidity. All products are approved to relevant standards. An enhanced range of key switch devices is also being launched at the show.

Mark Thomson, KAC Marketing Manager, said, “Firex is one of Europe’s most important shows for the fire industry. We are taking the opportunity to launch our new AV range, which meets the technical demands of the recently implemented EN54-23 standard for strobes, now a mandatory requirement throughout most of Europe. As the leading supplier of call points for 40 years and a major manufacturer of AV devices, we are continuously developing new products that benefit specifiers, installers and users of fire and security systems throughout Europe and beyond. Our new call point and AV innovations continue our long-established tradition of technical and manufacturing leadership.”
