ISNR London to be held 3-5 December

London, UK

ISNR London (International Security National Resilience) is a new name for the national and international security sectors but the event itself will be familiar to many as it incorporates the former airport, port and terminal security (APTS) show. The first ISNR London conference and exhibition, organised by Reed Exhibitions, is being held from 3-5 December at London's Olympia.

Reed Exhibitions has a long-standing pedigree in the security arena. The company runs the International Security Conference & Expositions, ISC East and West, in the USA as well as InterSecurity in South America

For some time now, the international security community has been asking for a London-based event to serve the security end user market and ISNR London fulfils this role. The event features a three-day conference and two-day exhibition covering all aspects of: intelligent transport and supply chain security; internal security: policing & intelligence; science and technology requirements for homeland security; critical national infrastructure protection (CNIP); and integrated border management.

ISNR London was founded on the rationale that there is a paramount need for an integrated approach to both national and international security issues. Whether someone is a member of the emergency services, paramilitary, government or a business leader, there are a wide range of security challenges to be addressed in today's world.

Although ISNR London will be hosted in the UK it is a truly international event featuring speakers from around the world, in recognition of the international nature of the issues being discussed. This year's event includes high-profile speakers from NATO, the World Health Organisation, the EU, Tesco, Virgin Atlantic and the British Transport Police to name a few. The event kicks off with a day dedicated to the US Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate. The Honourable Jay Cohen, Under Secretary, Science & Technology, at the US DHS is hosting the day which will include insights into how the DHS S&T Directorate is using science and technology to enhance security and safety.

While conference delegates learn about current policies, practices and lessons identified by experts in the international security community, visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to evaluate the latest security solutions and technologies. Exhibitors at ISNR London specialise in high-end security technology, systems and services. Key exhibitors include Smiths Detection, L3 Communications, Thales, Norbain and Skyguard Technologies.
