ISNR London less than a week away

London, UK

Next week's ISNR London will see a wide range of exhibitors displaying high end public safety and security technology, as well as a high profile line-up of conference speakers.

ISNR London (International Security National Resilience) will run next week in London, UK at the National Hall, Olympia. The conference will run 3-5 December and the exhibition will run 4-5 December.

Although ISNR London will be hosted in the UK it is a truly international event featuring speakers from around the world, in recognition of the international nature of the issues being discussed. The conference kicks-off with a day dedicated to the US department of homeland security science & technology (DHS S&T) directorate. The honourable Jay Cohen, under secretary, Science and Technology will host the day's events and then returns for the second day of the conference as part of a plenary session featuring Dr Paul Weissenberg, director, Aerospace, GMES, Security and Defence, Enterprise and Industry Directorate-General, EU Commission and Dr. Peter Ryan, group director, Critical infrastructure security and resilience, Hyder Consulting.

While conference delegates learn about how to tackle current security threats, visitors to ISNR will have the opportunity to evaluate the latest security solutions and technologies on the exhibition floor. Key exhibitors include Samsung Techwin, which will be showcasing its SHC-750 camera which can deliver quality monochrome images when lighting levels are as low as 0.00006 lux, which is virtually complete darkness. Samsung Techwin is also one of eight companies that are participating in the ISNR Best Practice Forum and Live Demonstration Area located in the exhibition hall on both Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 December. Other participants include the Defence Animal Centre which will be putting search dogs through their paces to uncover explosives material while Poland's Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurement (PIAP) will be demonstrating what images can be seen via the camera of its Scout small inspection robot.

The terrorist attack on Glasgow Airport earlier this year highlighted the importance of effective building security. Appian Technology will have on display its Cobra automatic number plate recognition image capture system, while others specialising in securing buildings include Broughton Controls, Frontier Pitts and Heinen SA which has over 30 years' experience in the manufacture of steel doors.

For the emergency environment, Avon Protection is a world leader in design, development and manufacture of specialist personal respiratory protection products for the range of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) applications.

Other key exhibitors include Smiths Detection, Thales and L-3 Security & Detection Systems, ensuring that ISNR London provides a comprehensive showcase of today's security technology.
