Irlab to release HD-SDI cameras with auto WDR

Shenzhen, China

Irlab will be showcasing its full product range with HD-SDI technology along with the company's new and unique "AWDR" technology at the forthcoming CPSE 2013 show in Shenzhen, China, from 29th Oct. to 1st Nov. 2013.
when a camera is required to work in the circumstance toward strong light source, most security professionals will be concerned about how an HD-SDI camera might perform in a high contrast environment. Currently, most HD-SDI cameras that include a WDR function will react adequatel in these condition, as users can generally set WDR to the ON postion in order to see both the target objects and the background scene clearly.

However, when the light source changes back to more normal conditions, the quality of resolution, colour, white balance and noise within the reproduced images will more than likely be significantly affected if WDR is set to always ON. At this point a system supervisor or manager may be required to adjust the surveillance system for better images, by manually setting the WDR to OFF via an OSD menu, for example. In practice this is a tedious and troublesome task for operators and would be better if it could be avoided.

Irlab's HD-SDI cameras are engineered with a built-in 1/2.8" Sony Exmor136 CMOS sensor and Sony ITN2 ISP and also feature a unique AWDR technology. 'AWDR' is the term that Irlab have chosen to represent the function of Auto WDR. Irlab's unique AWDR function is designed to automatically set the WDR to On or Off to cope with the ambient light conditions from time to time.

When the camera senses a high volume of light source, Irlab's HD-SDI camera, featuring AWDR, will activate WDR to On automatically. This will make the image of both the object and its background clear in strong backlight conditions, whilst the same footage under normal light conditions, will automatically trigger the camera to turn off the WDR function to keep its video quality crystal clear at all time. Of course, in the case where a manual setting may be required, Irlab still offers a user friendly OSD control option; this allows professional and/or users to customise the level of AWDR to high/middle/low and select at what point the AWDR activates On or Off automatically dependent upon the surrounding environmental conditions.

On the company's stand at the CPSE 2013 show, Irlab will be demonstrating its latest HD-SDI cameras (1080P@50/60FPS) with CVBS output, HD-SDI ANPR cameras, HD-SDI DVR, and related accessories- such as HD-SDI convertors(HD-SDI--HDMI; HD-SDI--CVBS), repeaters, cables, BNC connectors and so on.
