IPS launches V6 of Videomanager

IPS Intelligent Video Analytics, a business unit of Securiton GmbH, is releasing its latest version 6.0 of IPS Videomanager and IPS Videoanalytics in its anniversary year, containing various innovations.

IPS Videomanager is an IP-based, unlimited scalable platform for sophisticated video surveillance applications. It offers dedicated functionalities for basic network video recorders (NVR), advanced network video recorders Pro (NVR Pro), comprehensive video management systems (VMS), 3D georeferencing video management systems (3D VMS) and overall multi site management (MSM). The innovative design of IPS Videomanager combines reliable and available solutions with simple and secure system operation.

In version 6.0, IPS Videomanager offers essential innovations including zoom and pan in site plans and increased performance through 64 bit versions of multi site management and device server.  There is now also a system report for the automatic provision of configuration and log data a time shift playback facility. Activity detection can also be used for recording control in the NVR bundle.

IPS Videoanalytics are intelligent, software-based analytics modules operated on servers or cameras for automatic detection of security related objects or events in video images. In real-time, they allow object recognition, object tracking, object classification, object identification, object interpretation and scene interpretation. This enables the support of security staff, the reduction of data volumes and the improvement of the effectiveness of video surveillance systems.

Version 6.0 includes new functionalities to the server based video analytics, such as powerful filters for the detection of headlights (available for the intrusion and outdoor detection modules), the dome tracker module is now more robust, all analytics modules are available in 64 bit versions and object handover from fixed to dome camera is now additionally available for the indoor and loitering detection modules. There are also extensions to the module motion detection to reduce false alarms in outdoor applications.
