In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia there are ongoing restrictions on events and both travel and cargo constraints in place into the new year and this is the reason given by the organisers for the change of plan. In an open letter to all stakeholders from the Intersec Saudi Arabia team the organisers explain that their priority is to remain mindful of securing the safety and wellbeing of their valued clients and visitors as the world begins to open up to various degrees for social and business interactions.
The letter states, "Intersec Saudi Arabia is an important and growing show, uniquely positioned to reflect Saudi Arabia’s vital security, safety, and fire protection industries, and one where international solution providers look to make inroads in a thriving market. The event has significant support from key government entities including the Saudi Civil Defense, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), together with the industry at large. This year’s event was sold out with 120 exhibitors from 20 countries and visitor registrations tracking 18% ahead of last year.
Whilst it is disappointing that we have had to move the event to September 2021, this will ensure KSA is open fully and allows us more time to plan and prepare to reconnect you back with business contacts in a safe and secure environment."
