Dubai, U.A.E

Inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, once again, the exhibitors of Intersec 2013 enjoyed a successful 3 day experience at the event, which the organisers are hailing as the "largest edition yet".
“The response to Intersec was very positive. Our numbers were strong and exhibitor feedback was that there was real quality in the trade visitors present. It was clear that everyone worked hard to make the best of the three key business days during Intersec.” commented Mr. Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer, Epoc Messe Frankfurt, organiser of Intersec.

The show played host to 990 exhibitors from 54 countries which represented a 7% increase compared to the previous edition. The top 5 exhibiting countries were UAE, United Kingdom, China, Germany and Italy and there were 12 different country pavilions from China, UK, Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, India, Bahrain, France and the USA. Many of the world’s top security manufacturing and service companies exhibited or were represented by their local agents.

The visitor figures for the event this year represented a 10% growth with 21,549 visitors travelling to the show from 116 different countries. The top 5 visiting countries after the UAE were Saudi Arabia, Iran, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait.

The next Intersec show will take place from the 19th - 21st January 2014 and 50% of the available space has been already taken and confirmed for next year. According to Epoc Messe Frankfurt the organisers, the layout for Intersec 2014, the 16th edition of the show, has been changed and improved to be more compact and yet still remains the largest in the region, due to increasing demand in all product sections across the event. The venue for the event will still be the Trade Centre Arena, Shaikh Saeed Halls and Halls 1 - 5 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
