VIPCAM's on-board digital signal processor can run software for video motion detection, activity detection, privacy zones, dynamic live streaming, intelligent compression dynamics, dual channel streaming, and new functions not yet thought of. Once software upgrades are configured to suit your operation, the camera only produces the picture data you actually want. And because VIPCAM doesn't feed the network with data which is later discarded, it reduces bandwidth, central processing and storage requirements as well as costs.

VIPCAM is a progressive scan camera so does not produce artefacts in 4CIF format. Suitable for GeViScope and re_porter-based CCTV systems, it takes its power from the network and has input and output contacts for handling alarms and automatic responses.
