This innovation is developed by Prof. Zhang Xuan and Prof. Chin Hong-Yi of the University. It is employed the Raspberry Pi as a micro controller in combination with sensors (ZigBee) of light, temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and human body for the management of plant/breeding factory or farm via tablets and smart phones.
The system supports auto-tuning and setup on lighting, temperature, and humidity to help the growth of plants. When people enters into a field, an alarm or notification will be sent to the field owners or supervisors. In addition, a notification will be effective when soil is dry and the sprinkler system is water level low.
In applying the solution, field owners and supervisors can remotely control, data check, and setup ‘manually’ or ‘auto’ functions via App in his smart phone or tablets.
