Identity credentials, digital keys and latest pilots at NFC symposium

Stockholm, Sweden

Serra Luck at HID will be speaking during the NFC Symposium today.

HID Global showcases its secure digital keys and identity credentials for mobile access at this week's NFC symposium show in Stockholm (24 - 25 january). The company will focus on its innovations in mobile access control, including mobile keys to create use and manage secure identity solutions via its Iclass Seos credentials that can be embedded in Near Field Communications (NFC) enabled smartphones and its Iclass SE readers. This mobile access solution can be used in multiple applications such as access control from your smartphone into corporate buildings, as wireless hotel keys, time and attendance, secure print authentication and biometric template storage.
“HID Global is very excited to be showcasing our award-winning Iclass SE platform for secure mobile access control that demonstrates our leading capabilities at the NFC Symposium. As a preeminent end-user conference in Europe focusing on Near field Communications best practice case studies, it is one of the leading shows in Scandinavia and provides us with an excellent and robust platform to interact and meet with end-users and industry professionals,” said Serra Luck, Director, End user and Consultant Business with HID Global. “We will be available to meet stakeholders who are interested in implementing NFC for access control and assist them in addressing key secure identity challenges with future proven solutions.”

HID Global is showcasing end-user case studies in its suite from 23 of January until 25 January, 2013 at the Clarion Hotel Sign, Stockholm. Key case study demonstrations include successful employee building access pilots using HID Global’s Sesame award-winning Iclass SE readers and credentials with Netflix, the world’s leading internet television network and Good Technology, an innovative US-based company that allows enterprises and government agencies to offer secure mobile flexibility to their employees.

The pilots validated the use of digital credentials on NFC smartphones while delivering increased functionality and unprecedented levels of security. Some of the end user feedback from the pilot included the fact that more than 80 percent of Netflix testers said the application for unlocking a door was “intuitive,” and nearly 90 percent described it as easy to use.

87.5 percent of Netflix respondents said they would want to use a smartphone to open all locked doors at Netflix and more than 80 percent of Good Technology users said the smartphone was more convenient to use than their existing access card. Over 83 percent of users at Good felt that building security was improved by using a smartphone.

HID Global will be speaking during the NFC Symposium on Thursday January 24 starting with Serra Luck, Director, End user and Business Consultant on the topic of “Virtual Credentials and Access Control” from 13:00 to 14:00 at the Clinics: Focused Masterclasses for Maximized take-away.

The NFC symposium is a leading event in Sweden, focusing on Near field Communications best practice case studies.
