Hiqview 32-ch NVR with local display

Taipei, Taiwan

Hiqview has recently launched a brand new 32-channel network video recorder with a rackmountable housing design and local display support, the HIQ-3232.

The HIQ-3232 NVR features VGA local display and a rackmountable housing with a 1U height. The HIQ-3232 is qualified to fulfill various video central management tasks, transfer, storage, playback and event alarm, etc. Designed for performance and stability it is capable of handling most surveillance applications from small to large scale systems.

The HIQ-3232 is designed to manage up to 32 IP cameras for 32CH live view and supports multiple resolutions up to 5Mp. The video display frame rate is up to 320fps@1.3Mp. The recording frame rate is up to 960fps@1080p, and recording is able to reach a maximum throughput of 200 Mbps.

In mechanical design, the HIQ-3232 has the capacity to accommodate 4 bays of HDD (max. 4Tb each) inside; this allows the NVR to record with storage capacity of up to 16Tb (4Tb X 4) in one unit. As it includes a built-in e-SATA (external SATA) interface, it further provides external storage of up to 8Tb. Totally, the HIQ-3232 has a maximum storage up to 24Tb ( 6TB + 8TB) aiming at the  'Big Data' trend and fulfilling the massive increase in requirements for video storage. A built in RAID, 1, 5, 10 supplies an inner hard-disc file redundancy function to secure stored footage files.

The HIQ-3232 can be operated by local UI (user interface) and web UI. The local UI is operated via a USB mouse, keyboard, and joystick to connect to the network for recording and event management. The web UI just needs a few clicks of the mouse through a web browser which can be installed on the PC to connect to the network.  The HIQ-3232 allows for view playback video for up to 16 cameras at the same time. Users can search video fractions by date, time and event log. For video recorded in HD (high definition) resolution, the images can be viewed and zoomed in and out during playback to exame the details of the picture. The NVR is able to export recorded video in AVI format for further investigation.

According to Hiqview, the HIQ-3232 NVR GUI (graphic user interface) is designed based on a “simple and friendly” principle. Its firmware upgrade can be completed easily by using a USB flash disk; just simply place the firmware file in the USB flash disk and plug it into the HIQ-3232 - the upgrade process starts automatically.  Via web browsers on a personal computer or mobile device (e.g., smart phones, tablets, etc.), users can easily set up and operate the HIQ-3232 at the remote sites. Without the need to download any software or App, users can operate the full set of functions of this NVR via a web browser on mobile device (notebook, smart phones or pad devices) anytime and from anywhere. The HIQ-3232 features a smart self-adjustment facility to support quick video refresh rates for users at locations with limited bandwidth so they still experience 'smooth through' remote viewing on their mobile devices.

Hiqview also offers a free CMS, which is capable of controlling up to 8 x HIQ-3232 NVRs. With the combination of Hiqview IP cameras, HIQ-3232 NVR and Hiqview CMS, users can build a 3-level IP surveillance system to manage 256 IP cameras. The 3-level architecture should certainly be flexible enough to fulfill different environmental requirements.
