Considering that more than 4000 people visit Charlotte Maxeke General Hospital every day, a reliable surveillance platform to tackle against theft and crime, as well as to keep an eye on every corner of Charlotte Maxeke General Hospital was therefore highly required. Hikvision was selected to provide its high performance cameras and technical supports to ensure absolute safety of the hospital. In total of 500 units of cameras including DS-2CD812P-IR1 IR Network Camera, DS-2AF1-617 Analog High-speed Dome and DS-2CD712PF-E Network Dome are being installed throughout the hospital.

Hikvision DS-2CD812P-IR1 IR Network Camera adopts H.264 video codec and advance DSP technology, offering high-definition images with resolution up to 752×582 effective pixels (480 TVL video output). The camera provides effective 10-meter coverage with minimum illumination of 0.1 Lux at F1.2 when the IR LEDs are off and 0 Lux while the IR LEDs are on. The IR LEDs would turn on automatically when illumination falls under 4 Lux, which enables the product to provide Charlotte Maxeke General Hospital high quality video surveillance 24/7.

Besides, Hikvision DS-2AF1-617 Analog High-speed Dome, which adopts 1/4 inch Sony EXVIEW CCD, also plays a big part in safeguarding the hospital. The product supports 480 TVL horizontal resolution, 360° high-speed continuous rotation and auto flip function. Furthermore, with the features of back-light compensation, and auto/manual shifting (Color and B/W) on low illumination conditions, DS-2AF1-617 Analog High-speed Dome is capable of providing excellent inspection for the hospital.
