Hikvision awarded the Golden Excellence Award at CPSE 2011

Hangzhou, China

The new Hikvision series of DVRs with redundant systems -the DS-9100HFI-ST series and the DS-8100HWI-ST series have won the "Golden Excellence Award" at CPSE (China Public Security Expo) 2011, which took place at the end of October.
The Golden Excellence Award, granted by the China Public Security Expo, is the highest honour awarded by the China public security industries. It selects the most outstanding and innovative products in the security industry, so as to provide an excellent opportunity for global buyers to reach the most prominent front-end high-tech products.

Among the notable features, the Hikvision new series DVRs have an innovative design utilising dual systems – one in operation and the other providing a continual backup. If the main system crashes, the back-up system is activated immediately, so ensuring that no data is lost and the DVR continues to function in a stable manner. The user does not even notice any operational problems and the switch-over to the secondary system is instantaneous. Based on Texas Instruments’ Netra high performance embedded platform, the redundant system DVRs allows enhanced system stability, improved video quality and more flexible HDD management than the previous models.

After three years of development by the Hikvision R&D team and with this award the new series DVRs are now recognised as the most prominent products in their class.
