Geovision unified platform bonds cameras at UAE mall

Dubai, UAE

The Oasis Centre Mall in the U.A.E, covering an area of over 20,000 square metres, has selected Geovision's solution for their control room, in addition to replacing more than 100 units of their existing 300 IP cameras for dynamic lighting locations to meet the demands of local law enforcement.
The challenge the mall faced when looking to source 100 or more IP cameras was to find a unified platform for mixed brands, and qualified video good for law enforcement purposes. The decision was not easy because adding another brand of IP cameras is a further challenge to the operation platform, but it seemed that they really had little choice as the current IP cameras were not producing the quality of performance required by the law.

To bring all the existing cameras together in one platform whilst at the same time meeting law enforcement standards, the Oasis Centre Mall is now using the GV-recording server, a solution that simultaneously records up to 128 IP devices with third party license, to host their mixed brand cameras. To improve video coverage quality, over 100 units of Geovision WDR cameras were also added to locations with dynamic lighting conditions.

With hundreds of cameras to manage, the Oasis Centre Mall also uses a GV-video wall for a 2 x 4 video wall set up, where live view, playback application, E-map, and vital sign monitor (VSM) are simultaneously viewed in one place.

The solution was offered and planned by local partners Ansari Security Systems LLC in the U.A.E.
