Geovision budget IP camera with varifocal lens

Taipei, Taiwan

The budget IP camera Target series from Geovision, boasts strong features and now includes a varifocal lens option to give customers a greater choice. This lens provides the user with effective image quality without any change to the price. The Target Series will now have selection of fixed lens models and varifocal lens models providing customers with different options depending upon requirements.

Geovision wanted to provide a security camera that would be affordable for all without compromising on quality. The introduction of the Target Series is designed to meet those requirements and is now allowing businesses of all sizes to have the quality security equipment they need to protect their businesses without worrying about quality or price.

According to Geovison, one of the main reasons why many small businesses do not have security equipment is due to the price. Of course, not every business is the same and not every business has the same budget, but that does not mean a business should have less superior security equipment. This is the exact reason why Geovision has introduced the varifocal lens to this range, enabling businesses to have access to a quality image without breaking their budget.

Three models of the Target Series have been launched including the GV-EFD1100, GV-EBX1100, and GV-EBL1100. These cameras are equipped with intelligent IR for night vision, a defog feature, tamper alarm, privacy mask for condition alerts, and are embedded with full-featured 32 channel GV-NVR software. Now Geovision has introduced more additions to the series, both with the varifocal lens. GV-EFD2101 has a 2 megapixel varifocal lens while the GV-EFD3101 comes with a 3 megapixel varifocal lens. The vandal-proof dome model GV-EVD2100 now comes with a 2 megapixel varifocal lens and the GV-EVD3100, with a 3 megapixel varifocal lens. The new features would normally make these cameras unaffordable to many, but Geovision has managed to make the improvements without putting the price out of reach.

Significant improvements have been made to these newly released models to provide even greater image quality when compared to their predecessors. Each new Target Series model offers superior low-light capability with a highly sensitive backside-illuminated CMOS sensor to capture usable colour images even at night. They also feature intelligent IR with distances of up to 50 m (164 ft) to provide sharp images without saturation. For maximum installation flexibility, the 3 axis mechanism is added to provide a wide range of viewing angles regardless of how the camera is mounted. The cameras also feature P-Iris for improvements in resolution, contrast, clarity, and depth of field.
