GE Security Names Three New Executives

BRADENTON, FLA. (USA)

Ron Nesbitt holds the newly created Chief Security Officer role for GE Security.  As a member of the Security Leadership Team, the former FBI special agent is responsible for managing the global security and crisis management operations for GE Security, ensuring the physical security of its people, facilities and operations.

GE´s Security business recently announced that three new executives have joined GE Security as part of the company´s continuing effort to provide visionary leadership in the security market and total, integrated solutions to dealers, distributors, integrators and end-users. "As GE Security continues to grow, it is imperative that we add new team leaders to assure our channel partners and end-users are obtaining the best that GE Security can offer," said GE Security President and CEO Louis Parker.

Tammee Thompson has joined GE Security as the new President of GE Security-Asia. Based in Shanghai, China, Thompson's responsibilities include leading the GE Security team and its channel partners in Asia to provide comprehensive GE security solutions to the continent's security-conscious end-user organizations.
Thompson most recently served as Rail Services' Intermodal Business Segment Leader with GE Equipment Services, where she was instrumental in providing strong leadership in an extremely challenging environment. Prior to that, she was the Manager, Business Development for GE Power Systems (now GE Energy) from 2001-2003. She also worked as Manager of the Corporate Initiatives Group from 1999-2001.
Before joining GE, Thompson worked in various consulting, general manager and marketing roles with Nina Lannan Associates, Ernst & Young, ITT Corporation, The Boston Consulting Group and Morgan Stanley & Co.
Thompson earned her bachelor's degree in Economics from Georgetown University and a master's degree in Business Administration from Stanford University.


Barry Glickman is GE Security's new Chief Marketing Officer. Glickman will lead the company's branding and marketing efforts and define the company's growth strategies. He will direct programs that motivate channel marketing teams to align their resources to successfully service end-users in vertical markets, such as government, education, finance, business and other industries.
Glickman most recently served as General Manager for the Jenbacher gas engine division of GE Energy, based in Jenbach, Austria, where he was responsible for more than doubling the business following GE's acquisition in 2003. Previously, he held leadership positions within GE Energy Services and GE Aero Energy. He joined GE in 1997 in the Business Development group for GE Energy.
Prior to GE, Glickman was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co., where he consulted on strategy, growth, marketing, and operations improvement for various oil and gas, electric utility, telecommunication, and transportation companies.
Glickman has a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Wharton (University of Pennsylvania).

He also provides a critical consulting role for customers regarding products and systems.
Nesbitt most recently worked at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where he was the Special Agent in Charge, Counterintelligence and Counter-proliferation in the Washington, D.C. Field Office. In that role, he was responsible for all FBI counterintelligence investigations including espionage, economic espionage, weapons of mass destruction and counterproliferation.
Nesbitt has a strong background in security affairs with the FBI, which he joined in 1980 as a special agent. He held roles of increasing responsibility and served in various field assignments. In 1991, he was assigned to the Espionage Unit, Counterintelligence Division where he served as the FBI's liaison to the State Department and the CIA. In 1994, he was assigned to the Inspection Division as an Assistant Inspector.
Nesbitt's next assignment was as a Supervisory Special Agent for the Newark, NJ office where he managed a Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). From 1997-1999 he served as a Unit Chief responsible for internal investigations of FBI personnel. In 1999, he was named the Assistant Special Agent in Charge in Seattle, Wash., where he served as the program manager for the Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence and the Organized Crime/Drug Programs. He established two JTTFs in Seattle and Spokane and has managed all the major criminal investigative programs. In 2003, he was named to his most recent role as Special Agent in Charge, Washington Field Division.
Nesbitt has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Howard University and a Certificate in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
