Zooming in on eavesdropping

Dusseldorf, Germany

Eavesdropping protection specialist Secusmart, a subsidiary of Blackberry, is witnessing growing interest from governments and businesses worldwide in its solutions for highly secure mobile communication.

The company’s security experts regularly present their developments around the world and according to Secusmart’s CEO Dr Hans-Christoph Quelle, “The more data there is, the greater the likelihood of third parties trying to access it. Far from being restricted to individual countries, this represents a challenge that is becoming more and more widespread on a global scale as digitalisation grows."

He believes that the only reliable way of providing added protection to each and every telephone call will be by implementing a secure mobile communication solution that can be used easily around the world independently of a user’s network operator, provider and smartphone.

Recent news stories, such as reports on the wave of resignations in Poland or the publication of recordings made in Macedonia, are enough to reveal the importance of security solutions. Meanwhile, Secusmart’s experts believe that the number of unreported attacks on large business corporations or “hidden champions”, for example, is enormous.

Secusmart offers a range of anti-eavesdropping systems to ensure that a customised, practical solution is available for every possible area of application. Secusuite for Blackberry 10, which is currently the company’s most successful product, was designed to meet the needs of governments, whilst the Vodafone Secure Call anti-eavesdropping app is a flexible solution that secures the communications of commercial enterprises of any size.

“Our aim is to create a secure global communication network that nobody can penetrate or breach. We are extremely proud of our ability to use our anti-eavesdropping solutions to make the mobile and digital world gradually more secure,” states Quelle.
