Fingertec R2c slave for access control

Fingertec R2c is a slave terminal designed to serve Fingertec master terminals such as the R2, AC900, Q2i, Ikiosk 100 Plus, and H2i for a more cost-effective in-out access control system.
The sleek-looking, compact, and space-saving R2c establishes a connection via the RS485 interface to the master terminal. The R2c slave device is also recommended as a fingerprint slave terminal for Fingertec Ingressus controllers to form a centralised access control system.

To maintain an in-out access control system using fingerprint access, users no longer need to invest in two master terminals. Replace one with an R2c slave terminal and this will significantly reduce user costs. A simple mechanism applied to the R2c ensures that all verifications and data storage are managed by a master terminal or controller. In addition to fingerprint verification, the R2c also offers RFID card verification. A Mifare card verification feature is also available upon request.

The R2c is designed with a standard RS485 communication port, to facilitate connection with the Fingertec fingerprint terminals and controllers. The installation distance between the master terminal and the R2c slave terminal can be as far as 10 metres with a standard 4-core shielded Belden cable.

All EM lock driving outputs, alarm outputs, and anti-passback via the R2c can be diverted to be managed by a master terminal or Ingressus controller within the access control system. With the latest firmware, the R2c measures only 4.2 cm x 13.5 cm making it ideal for most office environments.
