Fermax takes branding to a new level
Valencia, Spain
Innovation is one of the cornerstones of the Fermax philosophy and is linked not only to the technological developments of its products, but also to the way they present their projects in society, and this mural is a clear commitment to the revolution of street art in the city of Valencia. The company's most significant values are given form in a daring and cutting-edge fashion: innovation in the family business, internationalisation, technology and design as fundamental guides.
Alberto Maestre, Fermax Corporate Development Director and Juan Juliá, Rector of the UPV, inaugurated the wall painting, created by seven contemporary artists linked with the “street art” movement, coordinated by Juan Canales, Commissioner of Poliniza, the UPV’s Urban Arts Festival.
For Alberto Maestre, the project promoter, the work represents “an innovation with enormous impact, creativity and visual appeal in terms of brand image”. The “attractive and innovative” work, in Maestre’s words, underlines art's public dimension and highlights the Fermax commitment to furthering University-Business relations.
Within the mural two highly present elements are combined, the concept of Skyline, the horizon of big cities with skyscrapers and also the name of the most representative outdoor panel from Fermax, located in the mural's central section, and around it, the asphalt jungle made up of a series of intertwined lianas. One shows the sound and vision wiring of the video entry units, and alongside it, a series of jungle vines is represented. The work essentially symbolises the relationship between human culture and vegetable nature”.
The inauguration was attended by UPV Rector, Juan Juliá, accompanied by the Vice Rector for Employment and Social Action, José Carlos Ayats, the UPV’s Director of Institutional Communication, Joan B. Peiró, and the Project Director, Juan Canales, who welcomed “the Fermax initiative for talent and innovation” and praised “the mammoth task carried out by the artists at the height of summer.” The seven contemporary artists linked with street art and classic mural painting that carried out the work also attended (Álvaro Jaén, Diana, Julieta, Deih, Sr. Marmota, Cesp and DJ Xelón, the latter five members of Valencia’s XLF collective).
