Fastlane releases Door Detective Plus

Feltham, Middlesex (UK)

IDL Door Detective Plus unveiled at Ifsec International

In line with the focus on innovation for this year’s show, Fastlane Integrated Design Ltd launched the Interlock Lane, the Door Detective Plus and new glass doors with locking brakes at the recent Ifsec show at London's Excel.

The Interlock Lane dual barrier features two sets of glass doors which work independently of each other and, as with all IDL products, it combines thoughful aesthetic appeal with dependable security. The concept is key for customers in environments where high-level security is required, such as border control, as the gate clearly and effectively enforces the passage of one person at a time. According to IDL, when this product was first unveiled at The Security and Policing Show, the Interlock stood out as being a valued solution is that it serves the purpose of ensuring high levels of security without being unattractive or over-imposing. Taking into account the need for one barrier to close before the next one opens, it also features high throughput speeds ensured by the multi-directional infrared beam matrix which is integral to all IDL products.

Door Detective Plus utilises the power of Fastlane Connect to make information gathering more simple, to help Buildings and Facilities managers to have a clear picture of population counting and movement of personnel around the building as well as to enforce the security requirements of one pass swipe = one person. When linked to a facilities management system, Door Detective Plus gives insights which can influence decisions about a building’s energy usage and management of lighting and heating systems. This low-cost product is a great addition to an access control system which is connected to a centralised, web-based portal which enables you to monitor and manage your entire entrance control operation, even giving secured remote access to authorised users from any location in the world.

Also being showcased at Ifsec were the new locking brakes which ensure that the locked glass doors of a Speedgate remain virtually impenetrable even if someone runs at them or applies significant force. These are being introduced in response to changes in requirements from the industry, which more frequently has to take the view that every effort needs to be taken to prevent access by a hostile intruder.
