Eyevis launches new products at ISE 2011

Reutlingen, Germany

Integrated Systems Europe 2011 has once again been an extraordinary success for Eyevis. The company was able to present numerous new products for the first time to the public.
The most exciting products were probably the new super narrow bezel versions in 55” and 60” with direct LED backlight and the new Eyevis streaming solution for the transmission of video signals over standard networks.

With the new Eye-LCD5500-USN-LHD Eyevis presented the follower of the successful 46 inch super narrow bezel LCD version. The new display comes with a 55” screen diagonal and full HD resolution. For a better uniformity of the represented images, the panel is equipped with a direct LED backlight which provides not only homogenous brightness but also perfect colours and contrast. Just like the 46 inch version, the new device features a robust metal housing for a stable and simple assembly of video walls. The ultra-super narrow bezel allows a minimal gap between the active contents of neighbouring screen of only 5.7 mm.

With a screen diagonal of 60” the new Eye-LCD6000-SN is the largest super narrow bezel in eyevis’ Eye-LCD Series. The screen provides WXGA resolution (1366768px) and a minor gap of only 6.5mm between two displays. To avoid hotspot effects on the screen, it has a direct backlight illumination that provides uniform brightness over the entire screen area. At ISE in Amsterdam, the screens were mounted on a special front-service wall mount structure. This mounting option allows pulling the screens out of a video wall assembly to front for service or replacement. So there is no need to disassemble the neighbouring screens to reach the device which is defect or to replug a pulled out cable.

The new Eye-LCD5500-LHD is a high-quality stand-alone LCD monitor device with full HD resolution on a 55” screen. Thanks to the new edge-LED backlight the depth of the device could be decisively reduced compared to the preceding version with traditional CCFL backlight. The depth of the device measures only 4.6 cm. The new display is also available with a screen diagonal of 46” (Eye-LCD4600-LHD).

As a follower of the first narrow bezel versions in eyevis LCD line-up, Eyevis presented the new Eye-LCD5500M/W-LHD. The new display provides full HD resolution on a 55” screen and an edge-LED backlight illumination. The display has a robust metal frame for optimised video wall assembling. In a video wall assembly the resulting gap between to devices measures only approx. 35mm. The device is also available in a smaller 46” version (Eye-LCD4600M/W-LHD).

In 2009 eyevis showcased the world’s first DLP Cube based on LED-lit projection. Two years later they presented the widest range of these devices with regard to sizes and resolutions. At ISE 2011 they showcased a 3x3 video wall with 70” Cubes with a resolution of 1920x1200px each and a 3x1 video wall comprising a 50” SXGA+cube (1400x1050px), a 67” full HD cube and a 50” XGA cube (1024x768px). Besides the enhanced life-time of the cubes compared to their lamp-based ancestors, they provide a remarkably better colour representation. Eyevis LED-lit cubes feature an automatic colour adjustment tool which guarantees a stable and uniform image representation over all modules in a video wall.
