Etherwan Ethernet switches for simultaneous support of copper and fibre optics

Irvine, Ca (USA) and Taipie, Taiwan

Etherwan Systems, suppliers of Ethernet connectivity for applications in various markets, have launched their new EX65000 and EX35000 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switches that support copper and fibre optic interfaces simultaneously.
To provide the flexibility of fibre optic options, Etherwan has upgraded the fibre ports to modular SFP interfaces. This new feature provides fibre interface flexibility to match the application. Etherwan provides SFP modules that have been tested for compatibility with the switches and meet Etherwan's quality standards.

Like most of Etherwan's managed Ethernet Switches, the EX65000 series also features their α-Ring technology. The α-Ring provides a high-speed network redundancy mechanism to recover from a network failure in less than 15 milliseconds during the self-healing process. The EX35000 series is an unmanaged switch with 8 Gigabit ports.

Both are ideal candidates for bandwidth-eating applications that operate in harsh industrial environments.
