ACTi ACM-4200 Megapixel IP Cube Camera was chosen as part of the video surveillance system for the new KIWI affiliates in Denmark. ACM-4200 is able to provide high-quality video of 1280x1024 @ 8 fps while the bandwidth consumption is only 2Mbps. Other superior features include integrated two-way audio for real-time communication; multi-stream with variable frame rate in selectable MPEG-4/MJPEG compressions for optimizing image quality and bandwidth efficiency.

ACM-4200 is designed to fulfill customers' needs in megapixel products with high performance/price ratio. In the retail industry, where a single deployment usually needs a great number of cameras for in-store display monitoring, budget is certainly a considerable concern. ACM-4200, ACTi Entry-Level Megapixel camera, representing "function" and "quality", is able to provide a cost effieicnet-solution.

In each store, 10 pieces of ACM-4200 are installed in specific positions to provide detailed images of aisles and those areas where thefts usually occur, such as alcohol counters. Another two pieces of ACM-5611, Megapixel IP Box Camera are set up in the front and back entrances for Day & Night functionality.

The surveillance project is accomplished by IT Gruppen, - a Microsoft Gold Certified company providing IT solution for retail applications in Scandinavia countries. An open platform of Milestone's management software together with ACTi IP cameras is adopted to ensure the safety for every corner of the chain stores, including entrances, aisles between display lanes and the cashier counter. The brand new security system will help the chain stores in goods loss prevention and provide powerful evidences in case that the illegal activities occur.
