Digital Barriers wins £1.6M contract

Digital Barriers, the specialist provider of advanced surveillance technologies to the defence and commercial sectors, has just been awarded a £1.6m contract for its Thruvision people screening technology.

The deal has been signed with a major government agency in the Asia Pacific region and will see the technology used for border security and counter terrorism applications.

Thruvision is a unique and entirely passive sensing system for high-throughput people screening that can detect both metallic and non-metallic person-borne objects under clothing, including metal or plastic weapons, explosives, drugs, currency and other contraband. Thruvision has been sold into more than fifteen countries for IED defence, drugs and currency smuggling, concealed weapon detection, counter-terrorism operations, facility protection and commercial loss prevention.

Digital Barriers provides visual intelligence technologies to the global surveillance, security and safety markets. The company specialises in secure, wireless solutions to analyse and stream real-time, zero-latency video and related intelligence over wireless networks, including cellular and cloud services. They also provide advanced video content analysis and body scanning technologies to identify safety concerns and threats in real-time.
