De Bazaar is the largest indoor market in Europe. Every weekend more than 60.000 visitors have access to a wide variety of products and goods displayed in 20 halls. To control all movements and maintain overview De Bazaar installed a total of 22 cameras both fixed and wireless, connected to the network supplied by multiple vendors. Griffid Monitoring Station software is hardware-independent and is deployed to manage all the cameras and recorded video streams.
Christo Fernee, Manager Technical Installations at De Bazaar: "Griffid is one of the few companies that offers the ability to meet our requirements and has a good price-performance proportion. The software is based upon a flexible platform and offers user friendly preset functionality. This is a benefit as it offers us the ability to simply configure each individual camera and control it at a high pace. You can even configure to send the camera to a preset position every 15 minutes. The camera can be configured to record continuously or event based, for example, based on motion detection".
The operator of De Bazaar is furthermore supported by a notification functionality through which he receives a pop-up screen or e-mail in case of an event. The operator can also make snapshots or zoom in on a license plate of a car in case it's leaving the parking lot without paying.
Edwin Roobol, Sales Director EMEA at Griffid: "We are delighted that De Bazaar selected Griffid as a partner for their security. The installation proves the importance to create and maintain overview of the crowd, especially with this large number of visitors. You need to have a platform that offers the ability to respond and act fast and support the operator to control situations with a simple button click and create awareness of any situation".
