Dahua Tri-brid HDCVI DVR embraces interoperability

Hangzhou, China

Dahua Technology, a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products headquartered in Hangzhou, China has introduced the tri-brid HDCVI DVR (DH-HCVR7000-series), a digital video recorder compatible with three signal types—HDCVI, analogue and network — to embrace more opportunities.

The hybrid DVR was brought to the market with the rise of IP technology, and it resulted in a good solution for addressing problems with mixed systems where both analogue and network cameras were applied. In a similar way, the use of HDCVI technology is spreading with giant leaps — it is deemed by some as a second-to-none alternative for a market, where high definition surveillance is demanded but at a lower cost; and where integrators and installers demand a storage device that can combine with the other two signal variants.

The launch of the Tri-brid HDCVI DVR is not only a key to multiple signal access, and devising a technology that is compatible with legacy cameras as well as megapixel IP signals, but it is also an improvement in terms of its capability. The HCVR7000-series supports 200 mbps network transmission, allowing smooth real-time encoding and playback; and dual-HDMI output is supported taking into account that it is a storage device that is able to accommodate multiple HD signals. Moreover, with the adoption of P2P technology, a quick QR code scan on the device could achieve monitoring via a mobile phone, saving the trouble of applying for a dynamic domain name.

"HDCVI is looking very promising in the market," said Tim Shen, Marketing Director at Dahua Technology. "In order to be more open to other technologies and to usher a wider acceptance by more people, we see the Tri-brid HDCVI DVR as the driving force in achieving more market share. Even though HDCVI is an in-house innovation, the issue of how to maintain its interoperability with other technologies is the case in point for more people welcoming our solution, as more and more people today want open systems that can easily upgrade and integrate with one and another."

"The aim of this release is to fulfill the existing HDCVI solution requirements," Shen continued. "Compared with previous DVRs, the DH-HCVR7000-series has been greatly improved in its connectivity and flexibility, and building on this success, we will keep refining our HDCVI to meet customer demands."
