Costa Kazakhstan deploys Varifo

Founded in 1971, Costa became the nation's favorite coffee shop and the largest and fastest growing coffee shop chain in the UK. And now, it can be found all over the world. At Costa Coffee in Kazakhstan, it selected Varifo network cameras to improve its shop security.

In line with the aim of providing the coffee lovers not only with a cup of authentic coffee, but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Costa wanted to upgrade their security performance through an IP-based monitoring system to keep the coffee house safe and make their customers feel at home. Especially during peak hours, under the environment of such an high turnover rate and relatively dim light, high definition, real time, low illumination and motion detection are all required.

In order to meet those requirements, Varifo installed VR-C2300 1080P box cameras to ensure the security.  These cameras can be used to monitor the whole area, including kitchen, cashier counter and dining area, and they area able to safeguard the coffee house from theft effectively and keep operations with required safety levels.

In addition, the VR-C2300H delivers effective surveillance video with resolution of up to 1920x1080 in both preview and playback on ICMS( Varifo's PC client software). The video footage enables Costa to monitor their business in real time. All these features, including motion detection made VR-2300H the camera of choice to monitor the entrance and to observe the customer flow rate.

With a solution that is easy to install and use, according to the company, Costa now has greatly improved safety factors, accompanied by greater operational efficiencies. The users are able to browse high quality real-time monitoring images from any network computer at any time even at night, plus they can remotely operate the cameras from both Varifo client software or an IE interface.
